Your information.
Handled with care.
This notice explains how JUST WEB handles personal information submitted through this website and during project enquiries. It applies to prospective clients and people who contact the studio through the website.
1. Who is responsible?
JUST WEB is an independent digital studio operated by John Kasozi. For questions about this notice or a privacy request, contact contact@justwebdigital.com. The studio does not publish a business street address on this website; do not send sensitive documents unless they are specifically required and a secure method has been agreed.
2. Information collected
When you submit a project enquiry, the form may collect your name, email address, business or organisation name, project type, budget range, preferred timeline, selected package and the project details you choose to provide. Netlify may also process technical information associated with receiving and filtering a form submission, such as request metadata and spam signals.
Please do not include passwords, payment-card details, government identification numbers, health information or other sensitive personal information in a general project enquiry.
3. Why information is used
- To receive, assess and respond to a project enquiry you have chosen to send.
- To ask follow-up questions, prepare a proposal and discuss scope, price and timing.
- To deliver services if you become a client, communicate about the project and maintain necessary business records.
- To protect the forms and website against spam, abuse and security incidents.
- To meet applicable legal, accounting and contractual obligations.
JUST WEB does not sell enquiry information and does not use the enquiry form as a newsletter subscription. Marketing messages will not be sent merely because you requested a project discussion.
4. Legal grounds and choices
Where applicable privacy law requires a lawful basis, the studio processes enquiry information to take steps requested before entering a contract, perform an agreed contract, comply with legal obligations, protect legitimate business interests such as responding to genuine enquiries and preventing abuse, or rely on consent where consent is required. You may choose not to provide optional information, although missing details may make it harder to assess your project.
5. Service providers and international processing
The website is intended to be hosted on Netlify and uses Netlify Forms for enquiry submissions when form detection is enabled. Netlify processes form data to provide hosting and form-handling services. Review Netlify's privacy information for its current practices.
The website also loads typefaces from Google Fonts. When those font files are requested, the browser connects to Google infrastructure and Google may receive technical request information such as an IP address and browser details. Review Google's privacy policy.
Because the studio may work with clients in different countries and relies on online service providers, information may be processed in countries other than the country where you are located. Where required, appropriate safeguards will be used for international transfers.
6. Retention
Unsuccessful or inactive project enquiries are normally retained for no longer than 24 months after the last meaningful contact, unless a longer period is reasonably necessary to resolve a dispute, prevent abuse or comply with law. Information relating to an active client project, invoices, payments and contractual records may be retained for the period required by applicable accounting, tax, limitation and other legal obligations. Information is deleted or anonymised when it is no longer needed, subject to technical backup cycles and legal requirements.
7. Security
Reasonable technical and organisational measures are used to limit access to enquiry information. No website, email service or internet transmission can be guaranteed completely secure. Access should be limited to people who need the information to respond to or deliver the project.
8. Your privacy rights
Depending on the law that applies to you, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, restriction of or objection to certain processing of your personal information, and to withdraw consent where processing relies on consent. You may also have the right to complain to a relevant data protection authority. To make a request, email contact@justwebdigital.com and describe the request. The studio may need to verify your identity before responding.
9. Cookies, analytics and advertising
This version of the website does not intentionally install advertising pixels, behavioural advertising trackers or analytics tags. The site uses essential browser functionality and externally hosted Google Fonts as described above. If analytics, advertising, embedded media, newsletter tools or other tracking technologies are added later, this notice and any required consent controls will be updated before those tools are enabled.
10. Children
This website and its project enquiry service are intended for business contacts and are not directed to children. Please do not submit a child's personal information through the enquiry form.
11. Changes to this notice
This notice may be updated when the website, service providers or applicable requirements change. The revision date at the top of this page indicates the latest update.
12. Contact
For privacy questions or requests, email contact@justwebdigital.com.
This notice is an operational privacy statement, not legal advice. Before accepting clients in additional jurisdictions or enabling new data-processing services, have the notice and data-handling arrangements reviewed for the laws that apply to the business and its clients.
